Born in Beijing, Xing Liang graduated in classical dance division from the Beijing Dance Academy in 1991. He joined Guangdong Modern Dance Company in 1993. Xing has won numerous awards including the Gold Award in the Male Solo Class at the 6^th Paris International Dance Competition in 1994, "The Top Ten National Performers" in 1996, "The Star of the Century" by the Guangdong Provincial Government in 1997, the Gold Award in the Modern Dance Section at the 8^th Paris International Dance Competition in 1998, the Hong Kong Dance Awards in 1999, 2004 and 2006, the Silver Award in the Modern Dance Section at the 1^st Italy International Dance Competition and the 2^nd Class Award in Choreography at the 5^th National Dance Competition. His recent major choreographic works include Stranger Than Fiction, The Conqueror, Nijinsky and Out Of The Box. He is currently the Resident Artist of CCDC.
