A Tribute to Legendary Filmmaker Krzysztof Kieslowski by Hong Kong's Most Eminent Choreographer

Inspired by the masterpieces of Polish film director Krzysztof Kieslowski (The Decalogue, The Double Life of Véronique, Three Colours Trilogy: Blue, White and Red), award-winning choreographer Helen Lai shares her passion for the late Kieslowski's vision in her new work No End by exploring the themes and motifs in his films, namely the uncertainties of life, the mystery of death, the accidental encounters, the never-ending waiting and searching. Set to the Requiem written by his long-time collaborating composer Zbigniew Preisner to commemorate the legendary director, No End is a poetic dialogue between a choreographer and a filmmaker. A must-see to kick off the 30^th anniversary celebration of CCDC.

From 9-18 October 2008, CCDC and Emergency Lab once again join forces for the upcoming Jumping Frames 2008 Dance Video Festival with the aim to further expand and promote dance video culture in Hong Kong. It features both commissioned works and works for competition works. Coffee With Pina by Israeli video director Lee Yanor will open the festival. The video reveals scenes behind the rehearsal room of dance guru Pina Bausch. The competition section showcases exciting works picked by the panelists among entries from all over the world. Local Focus will premiere three local commissioned works.
