The Artistic Perspective on Performing Arts for Young Children: An experience between Europe & Hong Kong
CCDC Dance Centre will host the very first Children's Festival in April 2015, in addition to a series of children's art programmes and workshops, CCDC also invited Päivi Aura from Finland with her the team "Dance Theatre Auraco" to perform a tailor-made interactive dance performance for aged 0 - 2.5 children─ "Me-Me".
Päivi is an experienced artist, she started her work on young children art since 1998. She will discuss with Mr. Even Lam, Artistic Director and Company Manager of the local well-known children's theatre company "Jumbo Kids Theatre," talk about the performing arts for young children, including the ideas, execution, and challenges, both in Europe and Hong Kong. To enhance the development of children's art through the interactive sharing, and inspire the creative thinking at the same time.

About Päivi Aura
Päivi Aura is a Finnish choreographer, dancer, director and teacher/educator, who has long and extensive experience in many different fields of dance and related subjects. After finishing her community dance studies in Theatre Academy in 1998 she has focused her work mainly on children’s and senior citizens’ dance creating performances, projects and other art and culture activities with and for them often together with the professionals taking care of them. She is one of the first Finnish theatre makers for the very young audiences. After many years of free lance work she founded Dance Theatre Auraco in 2006 and since then has worked as the artistic director of the company, they are nominated for the Children and Youth Theatre of the Year Award hosted by Association of Finnish Theatres and Finland Assitej Association.。
