What is Oriental? What is not Oriental? Who makes the definition? Why do some “Orientals” resent to be labeled as oriental whereas some cannot stand to be left out?
By doing and “undoing” some of the kitsch oriental cliché, exhausting exotic elements such as Earth, Water, Wind and Fire and the visually stunning “display” of the Five Elements, the performance is a magical mystery tour through nature’s four seasons to appropriate the “west-meet-east” pleasures.
