Devised and performed by acclaimed choreographer Yuri Ng and musical talents Rick Lau and Anna Lo – the creative team behind the sell-out cabaret shows LauZone and Tri Ka Tsai – Home Sweat Home is a playful reflection on home and identity through dance\, music and song. \nDelivered in a mix of languages – Cantonese\, Teochew\, Shanghainese\, Taishan dialect\, Australian English and more – the work is a rich tribute to Hong Kong’s melting-pot culture and one of Yuri’s first major projects in his new role as Artistic Director of CCDC. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_btn title=”E-House Programme” style=”flat” color=”inverse” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-book” add_icon=”true” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccdc.com.hk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2021%2F11%2FHSH-HP-1.pdf||target:%20_blank|”][vc_btn title=”Extra Notes” style=”flat” color=”inverse” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-commenting” add_icon=”true” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccdc.com.hk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2021%2F11%2FHome-Sweat-Home-EN.pdf||target:%20_blank|”][vc_empty_space][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/A9I3sZ8LPG8″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Includes dialogue in Cantonese\, Teochew\, Shanghainese\, Taishan dialect and Australian English \nChildren under the age of 6 will not be admitted \nCo-presented by\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nMedia Coverage\n[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Ming Pao Weekly	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Initium Media	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Sing Tao Daily Art Can	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                HK01	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                dance journal/hk	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                SCMP	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Weekend Culture | RTHK	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Stage Moving Forward | RTHK	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]\n	        \n        \n            \n    \n	    \n		    \n		        		        		            \n		                Cultural Express | RTHK	                \n		        							\n		\n	\n	        \n    [/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \n\nCCDC reserves the right to substitute artists and vary advertised programmes \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nChoreography\, Direction and Costume Design\nYuri Ng \nOriginal Music\, Music Direction and Featured Performance\nAnna Lo \nCreation and Featured Performance\nRick Lau \nCreation and Performance\nCheung King-yu\, Felix Ke\, Eric Kwong\, Bobo Lai\, Peggy Lam\, Shirley Lok\, Jacko Ng\, Qiao Yang\, Zelia Tan\, Bruce Wong\, Simpson Yau \nLive Music Performance\nWilson Lam\, Rebecca Li\, Antonio Serrano Jr\, Victor Tsang\, Wong Tak-chung \nDramaturgy\nDong Yan \nSet and Lighting Design\nLawmanray \nSound Design\nHa Yan-pui[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \n13.11.2021 [SAT] 7:30PM\n14.11.2021 [SUN] 3:00PM\n18.11.2021 [THU] 7:30PM\n19.11.2021 [FRI] 7:30PM\n20.11.2021 [SAT] 7:30PM\nThe Box\, Freespace\, West Kowloon Cultural District\n$320 | $270[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Programme Enquiries 2329 7803[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row] \n

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nKung Hei Fat Choy\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”23304″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nAn autobiographical dance theatre reflection on family\, nostalgia and homesickness\nKung Hei Fat Choy is a multimedia\, genre-bending\, dance theatre performance that creates an intimate space for personal recollections and candid sharing. \nSince his childhood in Guangzhou in the 80s\, mainland dancer Ergao’s life has taken him on a very different path to that of his parents. In this autobiographical production\, Ergao daydreams nostalgically over a solitary rice-cooker hotpot for one\, reflecting on his relationship with his father and his hometown through home videos\, musical memories and recollections. A story of a life\, a story of changing times\, changing landscapes\, shared memories and reconciliation\, Kung Hei Fat Choy is a quirky\, touching exploration of home\, identity\, family ties and belonging. \nKung Hei Fat Choy premiered in Switzerland in 2019 and was performed at the Guangdong Times Museum the same year. From 2021 to 2022\, the work will be performed in Beijing\, Changsha\, Hangzhou\, Shenzhen\, Macau\, Hong Kong\, Shanghai and other cities.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_btn title=”E-House Programme” style=”flat” color=”inverse” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-book” add_icon=”true” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccdc.com.hk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2021%2F11%2FKung-Hei-Fat-Choy-HP.pdf||target:%20_blank|”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Includes dialogue in Mandarin and Yangjiang dialect \nChildren under the age of 6 will not be admitted \nCo-presented by\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \n\nCCDC reserves the right to substitute artists and vary advertised programmes \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nChoreography and Performance\nErgao \nMusic\nSimon BISHOP\, Yangjiang folksong \nLighting Design\nLI Jun-long \nCostume Design\nYann GOAH[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \n16.11.2021 [TUE] 7:30PM\nThe Box\, Freespace\, West Kowloon Cultural District\n$270[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Programme Enquiries 2329 7803[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row] \n
