Between stillness and rhythm\, what will the body and the mind spark off? Pa | Ethos depicts the condensation of pure bodily movements\, while Dancing Philosophy transforms thoughts into spatial movements; both works explore the collision and association between the body and the spiritual world respectively through pure dance movements and lecture performance. These exchanges let any boundaries vanish. CCDC juxtaposes these two contrasting works\, inviting the audience to keep their minds open and eyes active. Let’s ride the wind\, step into the cross-disciplinary yaw\, and keep flowing.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/7O1GvnqREng”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text] \nPa | Ethos\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nDance at the Pinnacle of Poetry\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Amidst the aestheticism of sculptures\, dancers set free the bountiful primal passion beneath with the optimum rhythm. Infinite possibilities are born between the movement and stillness of imagination\, presenting a branch of aesthetics beyond compare. Inspired by Aristotle’s Art of Rhetoric\, this work has toured 11 times in Italy\, the Mainland and other locations before staging in Hong Kong with a special version. Choreographer Sang Jijia’s exquisite sensibility and composer Dickson Dee’s spirited electronic music are welded together to reshape the poetry of the body. \n  \n“Classical philosophy\, oriental thought\, electronic music and dance come together in a refined and passionate show.“  \n– Marche Teatro \n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/tNAuG735OvY”][vc_empty_space]\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n Pa | Ethos Cast Change\n \n Pa | Ethos performers – Felix Ke\, Peggy Lam and Brian Yam will not perform due to health issues. In the debut cross-disciplinary collaboration between Corrupt the Youth and CCDC\, they question the essences of body and movement with Artistic Director Yuri Ng. They exchange ideas and pose questions in the form of ‘keep talking\, keep dancing’: What is dance? What is contemporary dance? Why dance here and now? When one starts to dance\, is it the brain\, body\, or mouth that moves? Let’s explore the dancing boundaries of philosophers at the theatre.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/npwfQn32bSY”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text] \nCreation & Performance\nHUNG Yan\, KONG Man-ki\, KUM Long-yin\, KWAN Ho-chuen\, KWONG Chun-man\, LAI Ka-lok\, LI Hong-ting\, TSE Sze-fan\, YEUNG Chun-yin \n\nStage Direction\nYuri NG \nCreation & Live Accompaniment\nCynthia CHAN \nLighting Design\nLawmanray \nSound Design\nAnthony YEUNG \nStyling\nCHEUNG Siu-mei\, Claudia LEUNG[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no”][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text] \nDiscount Schemes at URBTIX\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_tta_accordion style=”flat” shape=”square” color=”white” spacing=”5″ c_icon=”triangle” active_section=”0″ collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”10% discount” tab_id=”1683384115661-f6058d02-4931″][vc_column_text]Club Bravo Members of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra\nEnergy Fun Club Plus Members of Chung Ying Theatre Company\nFriends of Hong Kong Ballet\nFriends of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra\nFriends of Hong Kong Dance Company (Classic + Prestige)\nHKREP Pals\nE-Side Dance Company\nPaid Members of Fringe Club\nZuni’s Friends\nMembers of Hong Kong Dance Alliance\nFriend of POP Theatre\nHKIFF Cine Fan Patron\nClassic and Student Privilege Card\nMembers of Yat Po Singers\nMembers of ManulifeMOVE\nMembers of MOViE MOViE [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”20% discount” tab_id=”1683384115739-be42b142-1b6d”][vc_column_text]Holders of CCDC Dance Card\nHolders of CCDC Kids Card\nMembers of HKAPA Alumni Association\nMembers of the Federation of HKPU Alumni Associations\nModern Dance Friends of Guangdong Modern Dance Company\nMembers of Hong Kong Arts Administrators’ Association [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”30% discount” tab_id=”1683384115842-ce065bf5-c951″][vc_column_text]CCDC Dance Inspirations Card Holder[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”50% discount” tab_id=”1683384115939-9b8c4414-5cef”][vc_column_text]Full time students\nSenior citizens aged 60 or above\nPeople with disabilities & the minders\nComprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”60% discount” tab_id=”1683384116034-1b5d18d6-69fc”][vc_column_text]CCDC Student Dance Inspirations Card Holder[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Group Booking Discount” tab_id=”1683384116125-09f6eb82-875a”][vc_column_text]Each purchase of 4 – 9 standard tickets (10% off)\nEach purchase of 10 – 19 standard tickets (15% off)\nEach purchase of 20 – 40 standard tickets (20% off)[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Media Partner \n \n  \n  \n  \nProgramme Plus Partner \n \nDuration is approximately 2 hours with 15-minute intermission \nPerformed in Cantonese with no surtitles \nAudience of aged 6 or above are welcomed \nThe presenter reserves the right to change the programme\, artists as well as seating arrangements and audience capacities should unavoidable circumstances make it necessary[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nExtended Activity\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”33402″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] \nCCDC x Corrupt the Youth | Documentary: Rehearsing Philosophy\nCommissioned by CCDC\, local film director Michael Tang pulled back the curtain and documented Corrupt The Youth’s creative journey in this documentary – Rehearsing Philosophy.  The documentary will be premiered in Kino\, Eaton HK\, where members of Corrupt The Youth will watch it together and share their thoughts with audience members.
