With music by Stravinsky and choreography by Nijinsky, The Rite of Spring caused an uproar at its premiere. Lai\u2019s choreography, showing the tussle of power among choreographer, performers and audiences, was premiered in Hong Kong in 1992, followed by its Taiwan premiere by the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre.
