Many art organisations broadcast their previous works on the Internet. However, how to break through the limitations of the video interface, to curate and create dance works and dance education activities effectively, to maintain the quality of the activities that can be compared to the physical space, and open up alternative of the online platform? Today, art organisations around the world put their massive videos online, and a variety of online art classes. How do artists use the Internet to create and teach? What are the limitations and unexplored possibilities of this form? Can we preserve the relationship between the viewer and the audience in the virtual interface, and at the same time develop a new approach to audience engagement? City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) launches its first 14-day online residency programme, inviting dance artists, media artists, musicians, art educators and producers to participate in a joint discussion and proposal of forward-looking solutions, brainstorming, and exploring new possibilities.
