Jon Henri FERRER

Jon Henri FERRER is a Filipino dance artist whose path moves from the roots of Philippine folk dance to the forefront of contemporary performance. A graduate of the Philippine High School for the Arts, he earned a full scholarship to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, graduating with First Class Honours in Contemporary Dance.

He has trained intensively with creators including Dam Van Huynh, Li Yongjing, Leila McMillan, Jarek Cemerek, Ema Yuasa, and has studied repertoires by Hofesh Shechter, Crystal Pite, Akram Khan, Johan Inger, and Ultima Vez across Italy and Germany. His range spans concert dance and commercial work—performing for Hong Kong artists and notably for Coldplay’s opening show with Marf Yau at Kai Tak Stadium.

In 2025, he joined City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) , performing works by William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, and Sang Jijia. Since 2023, he has also been a part-time faculty member at Shift Dance, shaping the next generation of movers.
