City Contemporary Dance Company is the first professional contemporary dance company in Hong Kong. We aim to present the vigour and creativity of Hong Kong’s multifaceted culture. The Company is now looking for suitable candidates for the following positions:

The Programme Manager will be leading a team to produce the company’s projects including programme planning and curation, leading creative meetings, artist liaison, budget control, event management, local and outbound tour production management and reports. You will also work with the marketing team for publicity and business development.

 

  • University graduate with minimum 6 years of solid relevant experience in arts administration; Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Programme Manager;
  • A creative mind with can-do attitude;
  • A good leader, confident and well-organised;
  • Detail-oriented, multitasking, with good interpersonal skills, presentation skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua;
  • Willing to work overseas and irregular hours;
  • Experience in working for Performing Arts or Event Management

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and plan marketing strategies that resonate with CCDC’s mission, vision, and unwavering commitment to Hong Kong’s vibrant dance landscape;
  • To implement fundraising initiatives and ensure the sustained growth and impact;
  • To meticulously execute high-impact marketing and fundraising campaign;
  • To oversee all facets of physical and digital publicity, including astute management of production promotion material, social media channels and the company website;
  • To cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including patrons, sponsors, and collaborators;
  • To lead the marketing team, fostering creativity and driving business development.

Qualification

  • University graduate with minimum 6 years of solid relevant experience in marketing, public relations, brand building and fundraising;
  • Be exceptionally creative and truly driven to create a great buzz for our dynamic organisation;
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Excellent command in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Willing to work overseas and irregular hours;
  • Passionate in performing arts and strong network in performing arts industry is an advantage;
  • Candidate with more experienced will be considered as Senior Marketing Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant disciplines;

  • Keen interest in art and culture, especially for performing arts and dance;
  • At least 2 years working experience of marketing, knowledge in digital marketing and data analysis is a plus;
  • Excellent in both written and spoken Chinese and English. Putonghua is a plus;
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, graphic and video editing is a plus;
  • Willing to work at irregular hours, including weekends, if needed.

  • Liaise with different departments regarding venue needs and bookings;
  • Organise previews, talks and other programme plus events and audience building activities;
  • Handle enquiries and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 or above
  • Graduate of the tertiary institute or above within the recent 3 years with Performing arts, arts, cultural or cultural management studies, or related disciplines;
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for arts and culture, particularly in the field of Dance;
  • Be a quick thinker, confident and well-organised, flexible, and have the ability to multitask and do what it takes to get the job done;
  • Good copywriting and editing skills in both Chinese and English; fluent in English and Putonghua;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; willing to work at irregular hours;
  • Hands-on experience with websites and tools of the trade like Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing software is a distinct advantage;

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Technical Director and Production Manager;
  • To supervise the work of the Deputy Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Managers;
  • To liaise with artistic and technical staff and other relevant parties on all aspects of a production, both prior to and throughout the rehearsal process, and during the run of performances;
  • To liaise with the relevant parties during the rehearsal period to ascertain scenery, lighting, sound, costume, video and cast requirements;
  • To compile and distribute the rehearsal/ technical schedules, having consulted with all relevant parties (including Artistic, Technical, Programme and Marketing departments, and other parties as necessary);
  • To liaise with venues prior to arrival, with regard to local staff manning requirements and call times for rehearsals and shows;
  • To attend rehearsals, technical and production meetings as necessary;
  • To prepare and distribute during rehearsals all show-related paperwork (e.g. lighting synopsis and show running requirements, such as scene changes, sound, light, and costume running plots, etc), as necessary;
  • To ensure the prompt start of rehearsals on stage, both at the beginning and after breaks, by efficient ‘calling’ of all personnel required;
  • To assist Production Manger to manage and maintain adequate departmental archives, and check that the production file for each production is accurate;
  • To assist Production Manager in developing and maintaining effective teamwork, within and between departments and locations;
  • To carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned

Requirements:

  • Academic qualification with/or AT LEAST three years of solid relevant theatre technical and stage management experience;
  • Fluent in English, Chinese and Putonghua is preferrable

CCDC Dance Centre offers a wide range of dance courses, outreach and partnership schemes to promote arts and support artists. The Centre is now looking for suitable candidates for the following positions:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project coordination and logistics, including proposal preparation, project and event operations, drafting evaluations and financial report;
  • Support the organization of events, workshops, talks, archive items, and promotional activities. Deliver excellent customer service and handle a wide variety of administrative duties;
  • Handle enquiries and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 or above
  • Graduate of tertiary institutes or above within recent 3 years with Performing arts, arts, cultural or cultural management studies, or related disciplines;

  • Co-ordinate with teachers, students and staff;

  • Choreograph for schools, organise students and attend rehearsals, run-through sessions and meeting with designers for specific performance;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Flexible in working at irregular hours (including daytime, evenings, and/or weekends) at various campus locations. 

Requirements:

  • Advanced Certificate or above, major in Dance
    (major in modern dance will be more preferable);
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (fresh graduates with higher qualifications would also be considered);
  • Interested and has relevant experiences in choreography;
  • Willing to work under pressure, mature and self-motivated;
  • Dedicated to dance education;
  • Effective communication skills and willing to cooperate with others.
