MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – PROGRAMME AND MARKETING DEPARTMENT

You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and fundraising strategies in the context of CCDC’s mission and vision and its commitment to Hong Kong’s dance development. He/she acts as the leader of the marketing team for publicity and business development of the Company, as well as project in charge of special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and plan marketing strategies that resonate with CCDC’s mission, vision, and unwavering commitment to Hong Kong’s vibrant dance landscape;
  • To implement fundraising initiatives and ensure the sustained growth and impact;
  • To meticulously execute high-impact marketing and fundraising campaign;
  • To oversee all facets of physical and digital publicity, including astute management of production promotion material, social media channels and the company website;
  • To cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including patrons, sponsors, and collaborators;
  • To lead the marketing team, fostering creativity and driving business development.

Qualification

  • University graduate with minimum 6 years of solid relevant experience in marketing, public relations, brand building and fundraising;
  • Be exceptionally creative and truly driven to create a great buzz for our dynamic organisation;
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Excellent command in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Willing to work overseas and irregular hours;
  • Passionate in performing arts and strong network in performing arts industry is an advantage;
  • Candidate with more experienced will be considered as Senior Marketing Manager.

City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) is a well-established, non-profit making performing arts company and one of Hong Kong’s leading cultural institutions. We are seeking candidates interested in a rewarding career in the arts for the following position.

Report to the Marketing and Development Manager, you’re required to:

  • Assist and work alongside with the Manger to Implement the company’s comprehensive marketing campaigns that will enhance the brand’s image and positioning within our potential audiences and the general public;
  • Handle a range of marketing content and collaterals such as online and offline materials of marketing copies, press releases, photos, videos, OOH display/ads to highlight the theme/selling point of different productions;
  • Copywrite, edit and proof-read marketing materials in Chinese and English;
  • Manage company’s social media accounts across (but not limited to) Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, WeChat;
  • Provide assistance on sponsorship/donation pitching;
  • On-site support at performance venues (front of house), shootings (campaigns or events) and media interviews;
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing and Communications, Journalism, Cultural Studies or relevant disciplines; with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience; candidates with more experience will be considered as Assistant Manager (Marketing and Development);
  • Organised, detailed oriented, and capable of multitasking;
  • Work independently, self-motivated with good interpersonal skills;
  • Interested in art and culture, especially performing arts and dance, with relevant work experience would be an advantage;
  • Knowledgeable about marketing trends, especially digital marketing;
  • Excellent in both written and spoken Chinese and English. Proficiency in Putonghua is a plus;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, graphic and video editing software/tools;
  • Willing to work at irregular hours, including weekends, if needed;
  • Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 or above.

Positions at Dance Centre

CCDC Dance Centre offers a wide range of dance courses, outreach and partnership schemes to promote arts and support artists. The Centre is now looking for suitable candidates for the following positions:

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and design Dance Course/ Children Dance Programme;
  • Execute teaching duties and maintain effective class management;
  • Co-ordinate with teachers, students and staff;
  • Take attendance, assess students, report duties, etc.;
  • Review and evaluate teaching process.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Certificate or above, major in Dance;
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (fresh graduates with higher qualifications would also be considered);
  • Willing to work under pressure, mature and self-motivated;
  • Dedicated to dance education;
  • Effective communication skills and willing to cooperate with others.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Flexible in working at irregular hours (including daytime, evenings, and/or weekends) at various campus locations. 

Requirements:

  • Advanced Certificate or above, major in Dance
    (major in modern dance will be more preferable);
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (fresh graduates with higher qualifications would also be considered);
  • Interested and has relevant experiences in choreography;
  • Willing to work under pressure, mature and self-motivated;
  • Dedicated to dance education;
  • Effective communication skills and willing to cooperate with others.

Opportunities for national and international stage performances and in-job training will be provided. CCDC is Hong Kong’s first professional contemporary dance company and one of the major performing arts organisations financially supported by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
