Dance Season 2026-27

 Sensory Matrix

Scenes. People. Moments.
Layers upon layers,
you within me, I within you.
This instant holds a glimmer of
what’s to come —
turn the page, and a new scene unfolds.

Life was never drawn in a single shade.
Complexity can shimmer, too.
Even when our paths diverge,
threads of connection quietly persist.
Overlapping, juxtaposing, intertwining
its logic fluid, never fixed, alive, quickening.

Scenes. People. Moments.
Layers upon layers.
When we pause,
and our gazes meet,
thoughts ripple in silence.
Senses fuse with empathy,
and that link runs deep,
right here, in this moment.

Cultural Exchange

Like tides flowing between regions, each departure and arrival refracts culture — seen anew, understood afresh, or rewritten.

CCDC continues to foster active bilateral exchanges with cities and regions around the world. This season, ‘Jumping Frames’ embarks on international screening
tours, while the City Contemporary Dance Festival returns to Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, CCDC’s productions continue their journey, touring across regions and connecting with audiences both near and far

City Contemporary Dance Festival

EKCC
CCDF is a meeting place for exchange and dialogue. This edition once again presents the HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform, co-founded by the three festivals from Hong Kong, Seoul, and Yokohama, and first launched in Hong Kong in 2017.
HOTPOT serves as a platform for emerging choreographers from China, Japan, and Korea, and it fosters cross-regional collaborations. At the same time, the festival presents international works, alongside symposia and masterclasses that bring new visions and creative energy to dance.
