In sports, the most precious prize is not always a gold medal! Instead, the most meaningful medal often comes from self-affirmation. “Success” takes many forms, and every child deserves to be seen. Therefore, we invite children to design a medal that is exclusively theirs, celebrating their most deserving moments and unique achievements.
CCDC’s new Dance Theatre for Families “My Arena: Dance of Triumph” connects dance with sports and guides children into the world of athletes, teaching them perseverance and the courage to face failure. The “Medal for Myself” Medal Design Competition encourages children to learn to appreciate themselves. While children create their designs, parents are encouraged to provide warm support and encouragement, helping them discover their inner strengths and letting the seeds of creativity grow into infinite possibilities.

Group A: 5 years old or under
Group B: 6 to 8 years old
Group C: 9 to 12 years old

Please submit the completed registration form along with the worksheet(s) to City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) by any of the following methods:

Awards and Scoring:
The competition will be judged by the creative team of CCDC’s Dance Theater for Families “My Arena: Dance of Triumph”. They will vote to select the winners from each category.
Judging criteria include: thematic expression, creativity and uniqueness, aesthetics, and use of colour. The top two scores from each category will be awarded.
CCDC will announce the results and contact the winners by 1st Aug 2025. An award ceremony will be held on 8th August at the Tsuen Wan Town Hall Auditorium.
Prizes:
Winners will receive the following prizes as encouragement:
- Two tickets to the new Dance Theater for Families performance: “My Arena: Dance of Triumph” (one adult ticket and one student ticket in Zone A; valued at HKD $480).
- A certificate issued by CCDC.
- A discount coupon for dance classes from the CCDC Dance Centre.
- A cash voucher for sports equipment (valued at HKD $200).
- Winning artworks will be featured in the online house programme of “My Arena: Dance of Triumph” and displayed at the front desk of Tsuen Wan Town Hall Auditorium during the performance period.
- Participants must carefully read the competition regulations and ensure that the information provided is accurate. Any violations will result in disqualification.
- Participants in Groups A and B must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- CCDC reserves the right to use any photos related to the event for promotional and marketing purposes.
- CCDC will use the provided information for the following purposes: administrative purposes for registration, notifying participants about the event, and internal records.
- CCDC reserves the right to change the registration deadline without prior notice.
The organiser reserves the right to use any photos related to the event for any lawful purpose, including event promotion.
The organiser will use the information provided by the participants for the following purposes: handling registration administration, sending event-related communications, and internal record-keeping.
