Travel of Soul Time AFTER Time Breaking taboos: stirring souls with dance and ceremony Delving deep into his signature theme—the traditional Canton funeral ritual “Hell-door-breaking”—emerging local choreographer Terry Tsang has created a distinctive stage aesthetic. The piece delivers striking visual impact while exploring themes of life and death and questioning the social status quo. With imagery both intense and bizarre, bodily rituals traverse the world of the living and the dead, as though a religious rite is being performed on stage. But what is the object of worship: the city or the people? The past, present, or future? And who shall find salvation through the ceremony?
