4-6Aged ; This training will apply all of dance techniques what the student learned. Performing abilities are focus on training to improve the quality and achieve the target level as mini dancer. Regularly giving comment to the mini dancer to make the learning process more diversified.

Little Star Advanced

This training will apply all of dance techniques what the student learned. Performing abilities are focus on training to improve the quality and achieve the target level as mini dancer. Regularly giving comment to the mini dancer and guest instructors will join to make the learning process more diversified.
Students for this course will have to complete a weekly training of 15 sessions for one term, totally 3 terms for a year. Besides the dance training from the chief instructor, three of the classes will be taught by guest instructors. Students will be participated at the performance. (Application Requirement: Students who have at least 1 year or above in the Little Star Repertoire training, and 5-9aged ; Course Targets: Enhance and improve mini dancers’ performing techniques (included attitude, improvisation and reaction skills) ; Instruct mini dancers to have creation of dance, bring up their team spirit and spontaneity ; To apply for CCDC Dance Centre’s Dance Training Scholarship Scheme ‘612 Mini Dancers’

Instructors

Natalie graduated form The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree, major in Chinese Dance. During her study, she was awarded The Spring Time Stage Productions Scholarship and twice-awarded Disney Scholarship.She was the representative of HKAPA to perform in Italy and Taiwan .

Natalie has been a full-time dancer with the City Contemporary Dance Company since 2014 to 2020.She has worked with a number of emerging choreographers and arts organisations and has performed in a wide range of dance performances in Hong Kong. Her new work “Wandering Stone” premiered at 2016 Dancers’ Homework by CCDC. In 2017 The Hong Kong Dance Award nominated her for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Dancer” with her performance in “Travelogue”.

With experience of being a professional dancer in many years.Natalie understands the sensation of getting injuries.Luckily, she met yoga in 2018, she finds it is a new way to heal her body pain. Practicing yoga helps her to reconnect with herself bothmentally and physically, she determined to share and help those who also suffer in different injuries

Natalie is now actively involved in dance teaching and related work. She is also a 200 hours Yoga Teacher (RYT®) with Yoga Alliance and Certified Flyoga® Teacher. She is now studying 300YTT in yoga therapy.

Wei Ming-PAK is an independent choreographer and performing dance artist based in Hong Kong. He graduated in 2008 from the City University of Hong Kong with a Certificate in Fitness, Health and 2013 with a BFA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

During his studies, Pak was awarded the HKSAR Government Reaching Out Scholarship Fund and was also given multiple opportunities to participate in the Guangzhou and Beijing Dance Festival through City Contemporary Dance Company’s scholarships.

He was awarded the European Organization’s full DanceWEB programme scholarship to participate in ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2013.Where he worked with USA base artist Trajal Harrell (RITE OF SUMMER) and Montpellier Dance Festival and Pompidou Center in France 2015 (The Ghost of Montpellier Meet the Samurai).

Pak has choreographed and produced works independently since 2009; including: One Minute Jumping Frames Dance Video Competition INNERMOST, ROBOT (Dance Video Works), LOST IN THE CITY (Site-Specific Works) which was invited to be performed at Hong Kong Arts Centre’s . TINT and INTERPRETATIONS 2 (Stage Works) which were selected by City Contemporary Dance Company to be performed at the Beijing and Guangdong Dance Festival. Pak has frequently taken part in cultural exchanges in Taiwan, Israel and France.

Ma graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in Fine Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance and Choreography.

She has been trained in modern dance, ballet, Chinese dance, Jazz dance, yoga, etc. She was awarded several scholarships during her study at the Academy. She participated in the CCDC Dance Centre’s WuDaoQingNian project in 2006 and 2007, and performed in several dance exchange programmes, including the International Dance Festival 2008 held in Bangkok. In 2007, she went to the American Dance Festival in the US for a scholarship, during which she was selected by the William Forsythe Company to receive training in the Forsythe’s Project. Her recent performances could be seen in Dancing Sketch (an outreach programme of the Hong Kong Dance Company) and New Dance Platform 2009 (Y-Space). Breaking, a dance she created, was presented at the Site-Specific Project – Build Motivation (E-Side Dance Company). She participated in musical production Field of Dreams (Hong Kong Repertory Theatre) in 2008.

Ma currently teaches modern dance, children’s creative dance, Jazz dance, etc in primary and secondary schools, and at the same time works as a choreographer.
