Ballet

In this course, both the Russian and British ballet styles are introduced. Class will start with floor exercise — some stretching,floor barre to experience specific muscle we needed in our ballet training .Following up with some simple barre work similar to our floor barre. And ended with a bit centre work to find the weight of the body. Class with conducted in a slow pace in order to explain details information.

Ballet Pointe

Contemporary dance evolved from contemporary dance. This course combines contemporary dance, contemporary dance, and ballet. It begins with floor exercises as a warm-up and develops various dance combinations that incorporate strength, centre balance, and torso and limbs co-ordination and possibilities.

Introductory

The class will start with some basic simple ballet pointe barre work to train specific muscle we needed en pointe and ended with a bit centre work. Class will be conducted slowly in order to explain details of en pointe. Students must bring their own pointe shoes.Target: Suitable for students with at least two years of training in ballet with or without pointe experience.

Instructors

Claudeanna Wong graduated and was awarded a high school diploma in Professional Ballet by the Shenzhen Arts School in 2014. In the same year she was admitted to BFA (Hons), Ballet in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. She graduated and received a BFA (Hons) degree in Ballet with first class honours from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts in 2018. She was awarded a Ballet Faculty Scholarship in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.

She worked with many famous international artists including Iraxtxe Ansa, Jonathan Watkins (UK), Anh Ngoc Nguyen (Vietnam) and Raymond Chai (UK), ect.  After graduated she joined the City Contemporary Dance Company,CCDC Dance Centre she became a part time dancer, performing to all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, She also participated in many other performances made by various Dance Companies such as E-side Dance Company, Dances Art dance theatre, MK Ballet Company, Musical Viva Hong Kong, etc.

Claudeanna won various awards in many dance competitions, including second prize of repertoire prize in the 9th (桃李杯) Taoli cup dance contest in the China, the 39th Open Dance Contest in Hong Kong: Ballet Dance Youth B – Gold Award, and the 40th Open Dance Contest in Hong Kong: Ballet Dance Public – Gold Award, etc.

She is active in teaching ballet. She taught students major in ballet in repertoire / variations class at Shenzhen Art School and a ballet teacher at several Hong Kong ballet schools.

She acquired her professional qualification by achieving the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies(CBTS) of the Royal Academy of Dance, and became a Registered Teacher of the RAD (ARAD), the Royal Academy of Dance Members and attained Certificates of Advanced Courses of Ballet of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).

Born in Hong Kong, Yam is a graduate of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and performed Don Quixote for Hong Kong Ballet and La Sylphide & Le Conservatoire – Bournonville School for Hong Kong Ballet Group. Yam has attended Hong Kong Spring Intensive by Royal Ballet School and B12 Berlin Workshop Festival in Germany, where he studied contemporary dance. He was selected to participate in a collaborative initiative with Akram Khan Company, taking a production residency and starring in Jungle Book Reimagined’s world premiere in Leicester, United Kingdom in 2022. His sole choreographic work is The Suite. He joined CCDC in 2022 as dance artist trainee.

Born in Hong Kong.
Ng started her ballet training at age of four and received Vocational Exam syllabus – Advanced 1 certificate.
Ng graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Contemporary Dance) in 2014.
Ng co-choreographed and performed <In the air between our particles> (supported by HKADC) with Li Ka-Man.
Ng established MinMin Movement Workshop to share body movement education with children and adults.
Ng currently active as a freelance Movement Coach, dance instructor and choreographer.

Born in Hong Kong.
WONG is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Ballet.
Following her studies, WONG joined Étoile Ballet Theatre as a professional dancer.
She completed the Royal Academy of Dance Vocational Examination and is also a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance.
