Contemporary Art-Fusion Day Camp (summer version for children)
Let this summer be fulfilled with a wonderful journey in art!
This is our unique summer day camp on 5 consecutive days, 3-hours per day. Three top-notch instructors will lead workshops in Contemporary Dance, Music & Singing as well as Contemporary ink painting. Through a series of progressive, fun, and inspiring courses, kids will explore different art forms, while being encouraged to expressing their creativity, showing appreciation, and facing challenges. On the last day of the day camp, an extra 30-minute Finale Showcase will be arranged. The dance, singing, and ink painting works will be presented, which allowing them to share their learning achievements with family members.

Course Content

Contemporary Dance – Cartoon Song & Dance Training Course
Instructor: Ming Ming Sir
The course will be conducted in a professional dance studio; which features particularly designed warm-up activities and dance training tailored to children’s needs. Using familiar cartoon music and songs (such as Disney classics), children will develop body coordination, enhance flexibility, express emotions and thoughts through non-verbal movement. Through rehearsals, they will also learn the value of teamwork and cooperation.

Music & Singing – Music FUN
Instructor: Ms. Kato
The course will be led by an overseas instructor, Ms. Kato, incorporates singing, games and basic instrument training to facilitate children understand basic music concepts such as rhythm, pitch, tempo and dynamics. It enhances listening and pronunciation skills, fostering interest and ability in learning other languages. Children are encouraged to interact, develop communication skills and build confidence in relax and enjoyable atmosphere.

Contemporary Ink Painting – Introductory Class for Children
Instructor: Fanny WONG
In this engaging course, children will explore the foundational techniques of contemporary ink painting, learning to work with essential tools such as paper, brushes, ink, and felt. They will practice the application of dots and lines, experiment with the fusion of ink and color, and develop their artistic vision through observation and creation. This hands-on experience aims to spark inspiration and nurture creativity in young artists.

Up to two family members are warmly invited to attend the session, and may take photos and videos using their own equipment.
Course Fee:HK$3,200
Include: Tutorial fee (5 consecutive days, 3-hour / day), Finale Showcase production and coordination fee, teaching materials.

Instructors

Wei Ming-PAK is an independent choreographer and performing dance artist based in Hong Kong. He graduated in 2008 from the City University of Hong Kong with a Certificate in Fitness, Health and 2013 with a BFA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
During his studies, Pak was awarded the HKSAR Government Reaching Out Scholarship Fund and was also given multiple opportunities to participate in the Guangzhou and Beijing Dance Festival through City Contemporary Dance Company’s scholarships.
He was awarded the European Organization’s full DanceWEB programme scholarship to participate in ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2013.Where he worked with USA base artist Trajal Harrell (RITE OF SUMMER) and Montpellier Dance Festival and Pompidou Center in France 2015 (The Ghost of Montpellier Meet the Samurai).
Pak has choreographed and produced works independently since 2009; including: One Minute Jumping Frames Dance Video Competition INNERMOST, ROBOT (Dance Video Works), LOST IN THE CITY (Site-Specific Works) which was invited to be performed at Hong Kong Arts Centre’s . TINT and INTERPRETATIONS 2 (Stage Works) which were selected by City Contemporary Dance Company to be performed at the Beijing and Guangdong Dance Festival. Pak has frequently taken part in cultural exchanges in Taiwan, Israel and France.

Graduate of the National Music Academy, Kyiv, Ukraine, Diploma in Piano Performance
Passionate and experienced music educator with a strong background in piano performance, vocal training, and interdisciplinary arts. Skilled in fostering creativity and musical appreciation in students of diverse backgrounds, including refugee children and international school students.
Extensive experience in teaching, performance, and collaborative artistic projects across multiple countries.

Ms Wong has over 20 years of teaching experience and has served as an art teacher of secondary schools in mainland. Teach students according to their aptitude and often encourage them to participate in exhibitions and competitions! She has received numerous awards both internationally and domestically and has qualified for various exhibitions!
