Ballet Repertoires Elementary Progressive
This course is designed for ballet students who wish to enhance their stage performance skills and artistic expression. The focus will be on learning selected pieces from both classical and contemporary ballet repertoires, including renowned works such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Giselle, and more. Students will explore characters interpretation, refine movement precision, and build stage confidence through guided rehearsal and role-based practice.
Suitable for students with a basic foundation in ballet who wish to deepen their stage experience and performance skills.

Jazz TWC Beginner
A type of training that combines physical conditioning with dance skills. It enables students to learn dance steps and improve their technique while also providing a body-toning effect. This training is suitable for beginners or students who want to enhance their cardiovascular fitness.

Contemporary Dance Introductory

Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates emphasizes control of deep muscles, building core strength, training body flexibility and balance, as well as the rhythm and coordination of breathing. It focuses on using your own body weight for exercises, effectively strengthening the core muscles, improving posture, relieving chronic strain and pain, and enhancing body stability and coordination. It is suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Muscle Toning and Cardio Training
The class will combine different muscle building exercise and cardiovascular training. Reduce body fat and toning muscle, improve body posture and stamina , increase the health of the joints and muscle, strengthen the body mobility and stability.

Instructor

Shirley Lok graduated in Ballet from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She received several scholarships during her studies. She has performed widely in Hong Kong and overseas with different dance companies, including Hong Kong Ballet and Hong Kong Dance Company. She joined CCDC in 2010 and received a Master of Intercultural Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. She became Senior Dance Artist in 2022 and was promoted to Rehearsal Mistress in 2023.

Her recent choreographic works include Besieged in In-between (2014), Journey to the West (2016), Generation Beta in 2019 Dancers’ Homework and Rebug in M.U.D. – Movement UnDefined in 2022.

WONG Sze Wing Sharon was born in Hong Kong. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance, and minoring in Choreography. She was the recipient of Dr & Mrs. George Choa Memorial Scholarships and the Society of APA Scholarships for twice. She was a member of City Contemporary Dance Company CCDC Dance Centre dance training scholarship scheme “Teens of Colours” and “WuDaoQingNian”.

She has worked with numerous international artists, such as Judith Sánchez Ruíz (CU), Stephanie Lake (AUS), Leila McMillan (UK), Jorge Jauregui Allue (ES), to name a few. She has participated in productions by various local institutions, including Hong Kong Arts Festival, City Contemporary Dance Company, E-Side Dance Company, Passoverdance, Art Basel Hong Kong. Her sole choreographic works are “Everlasting”, “Not Just Skin Deep” and “Type 1”.

A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Mak majored in Chinese Dance and was awarded the Spring Time Stage Productions Scholarship, and the Disney Scholarship twice. As a student, she was selected to conduct exchanges and performances in Italy and Taiwan.
Mak was a full-time dancer with the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) from 2014 to 2020. She collaborated with numerous renowned local and international choreographers and performed with the group in various countries, including Israel, Japan, Australia, Korea, and also in Beijing and Taiwan. She was nominated for the “Outstanding Female Dancer” at the Hong Kong Dance Awards in 2017.
Her choreographic works include Wandering Stone (2016) and 1/2 TBC (2021)
Recognizing the physical challenges faced by dancers, Mak aims to deepen her understanding of her body. Since 2019, she has been pursuing various professional courses, including a 200-hour counter flow Teacher Training, a 300-hour Yoga Therapy course, Sound Bowl Therapy, Aerial and Yoga Wheel Teacher Training.
She has also furthered her studies in Gyrotonic, Stott Pilates, DNS, and AT in Structure & Function courses to enhance her teaching quality.
She is now an independent dancer and a yoga, GYROTONIC®, and Pilates instructor.

Annie is currently a freelance dancer, choreographer, dance teacher and singing bowl therapist. Annie graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in contemporary dance. During her study, Annie was invited to cooperate with international choreographers, including Gabrielle Nankivell, Dam Van Huynh, Jaime Redfern, Christine Gouzelis, John Utans, Cho Yi, Li Yongjing. She also performed in The 4th HK Butoh Festival, HK Dance Award, HSBC Community Festival.

In this several years, she cooperates with different local dance companies and Nongovernmental Organizations as the teaching artist and performer, including E-side Dance Company, CCDC Dance Centre Outreach department, CCDC, Rice Journey Studio, TWGHs, Caritas HK.

Her recent performance including Voyage by Rice Journey Production, The Rite of spring and Dance at Dawn by CCDC, The rose of the name by Trinity Theatre.
